Looking to spark imaginative learning after school?

Whether you are coordinating after-school programming or are looking for an innovative program to offer at a community center or library, Mad Science offers a range of flexible and affordable after-school programs. We work with Schools, Recreation Departments, Community Centers, PTO's, Homeschool Groups, and non-profits to bring science enrichment after school. If you are a principal or teacher of an elementary school, a Recreation department member, or a community member interested in Science Enrichment for your community, Mad Science can help you do just that! hands-on, interactive after school science enrichment programs are appropriate for K-5 Grade students and require virtually no work on your part. Mad Science handles all the administrative details including registration and rosters. All you need to do is provide us with a room and allow us to distribute the registration fliers. The typical program meets once a week for one-hour for a duration of a 6 - 8 weeks after school. Parents pay Mad Science directly or register with local recreation departments to have their child participate. This program can also be grant funded for those schools that have enrichment funds.  PTO/PTA's will often subsidize registration fee for some students that apply. We are very flexible and can work with just about any school’s needs.  Just let us know what we can do to bring quality science enrichment to your community.

  • The program is typically six weeks in length each term (fall and spring). We offer shorter and longer programs as needed.

  • The school/organization selects the day of the week that the program will be conducted and the schedule of dates. We plan for any skip dates due to holidays or parent conferences.

  • The program is parent funded, so there is no cost to the school. The price is determined by the number of weeks the program is conducted.

  • We require a minimum of 12 students to register prior to the first class, in order to run the program.

1.    School Administrators! Use Mad Science to offer hands-on science enrichment this year through our after-school programs, in-class workshops (a.k.a. "in-class field trips"), and family science nights

2.    The school/organization will contract with Mad Science for the number of students that will participate.

3.    Mad Science will send multiple instructors to your site to accommodate large groups of students. We typically offer a 20:1 ratio.

4.    Your school/organization will determine the number of weeks you would like to offer Mad Science based on your needs.

Students get a jump on the new NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) by participating in a high quality, hands-on science program. Standards are no longer about just learning concepts. The NGSS are all about students being able to DO things with their science knowledge. Mad Science provides the perfect vehicle to experience hands-on success with new and challenging scientific ideas. Students can then build on their positive experiences and go as far as their abilities will take them in the pursuit of STEM careers and even future scientific breakthroughs!...Sorry! We get excited just thinking about the possibilities! Contact Mad Science for details on how our after-school programs and classroom workshops correlate with NGSS and STEM. Start a Mad Science program at your school and you'll be WAAAAY out in front of this exciting movement in science education!
